Consultation and public engagement
We specialise in developing consultation and public engagement strategies and implementing them effectively. We have wide experience of developing consultation of all kinds, including long-term strategic opinion research and monitoring covering large populations, and using companies like MORI, NOP and ORC. We also have experience in planning and implementing low-cost, short-term localised consultation on sensitive issues, and in developing affordable and innovative consultation techniques for public sector clients.
The key to any successful marketing is understanding your audience precisely, then developing a strategy to suit them. We have many years of experience in doing just that. We can conduct or commission research on your behalf to identify your audience, and to find out what they want from you, or from your services. This could involve (for example) focus groups, mystery shopping, questionnaires, surveys or personal interviews.
Consult Communications Director, Hugh Weller-Lewis, has won numerous awards and national recognition for public engagement programmes designed to fulfil community involvement objectives on Local Development Frameworks and he is personally involved in all consultation and public engagement projects.
Crisis PR and planning
We have long experience in handling and defusing crisis situations, whether at national or local level and are happy to provide more detailed information on our experience on request. We will also help you prepare for a crisis by working with you to develop – and test - emergency communications plans. This includes training your staff to understand their roles and responsibilities and to practice dealing with emergencies. We can also provide emergency relief backup for your staff.
Design / branding
Our award-winning creative associates can design and produce a wide range of literature, from affordable single-sided flyers to multi-paged brochures and annual reports. If you wish, we will oversee the logistics of your print work, making sure the job is delivered on time and to your agreed standards.
We are experienced in corporate image and branding, and will advise on brand development, management or creation as you require. We will work with you at all stages of the process from researching and devising a logo, to producing corporate identity guidelines, managing print and implementation and training staff in its use.
Interim management
We have over 30 years experience of managing PR and marketing functions in all sizes of organisation.
